London School of Diving (LSD) is closely monitoring the COVID-19 Coronavirus situation. As the virus continues to spread around the country everyone needs to be sure that they are doing everything possible to keep themselves as safe as possible whilst continuing to lead a normal life. London School of Diving is in a strong position when it comes to measures against the virus as all of our scuba equipment is sterilised after every water session and our facilities are cleaned on a regular basis. These are not measures that we recently put in place but have been standard operating procedure for LSD for the last decade. At this stage, therefore, we are continuing to operate as normal. Most of the dive theory work for PADI Courses is conducted at the student’s home or work environment. In the centre, the majority of the student’s time is spent in our on-site chlorinated pool rather than in classroom environments. Our class numbers have always been kept small with a maximum of 4 students per instructor which is important when it comes to the level of quality of instruction you receive. We also offer private 1 to 1 instruction. All of this is reassuring at a time when some people may be wary of mixing with large groups. In addition, we have antibacterial hand wash throughout the dive centre to ensure that staff and students alike can regularly clean their hands as per Government advice. Courses that operate in open water environments will also continue as normal at this stage. LSD will be guided by current NHS and UK Government protocols in its measures to combat the spread of this virus. Your health, safety and enjoyment while attending your scuba diving experience with us is paramount and if any changes are required, we will post this to our various networks to keep everyone informed. http://bit.ly/2xAXFpQ
