Reef Rescue Network
Check out our recent visit to The Canaries nursery in Saint Lucia! 🇱🇨The Canaries nursery located in Anse Jambette was established in partnership with the CCIF- Canaries Community Improvement Foundation with the goal of regenerating the coral reefs in the area to attract and generate income from tourism such as snorkel trips to Canaries bay to support local community members. 🚤While at the nursery we added two more trees and conducted general nursery maintenance and cleaning. With the help of local volunteers and in partnership with the Saint Lucia Divers Association we additionally outplanted 90 fragments onto the reef in Canaries North Bay to begin restoration on the local reef system. 🧽🤿Special thanks to Eastern Caribbean Diving St Lucia, Donovan Brown, Eget martyr, Dive Saint Lucia, and SCUBA ST LUCIA. ...

During our recent Saint Lucia trip Reef Rescue Network Staff Hayley-Jo PADI Course Director and Alex Frans were pleased to assist in PADI Reef Rescue Diver specialty training for a diverse group of divers. These young Saint Lucians included young entrepreneurs, dive shop staff, marine conservationists and two Marine Biologists from the Saint Lucia Department of Fisheries. Prior to our arrival many completed their dive training from PADI Open Water to Rescue Diver thanks to support from the Saint Lucia Divers Association and PADI. 🤿🇱🇨While working with this group it was clear that they all share the same passion for marine conservation and are excited to be able to assist in coral nursery maintenance and outplanting from the new ANBAGLO coral nursery in Cutty Cove to help restore their local coral reefs. 🐠Congratulations to you all for completing your PADI Reef Rescue Diver Certification!@trinilucianxprincess @momaid758 @fathernature758 @sharkboy_758 @neige.yvelle @kebzz_ @jl.sep.23 @__madtradman @kyyaarahh Special thanks to Eastern Caribbean Diving St Lucia,Dive Saint Lucia, Ti Kaye Resort & Spa, Donovan N Brown, Eget Martyr PADI AWARE Foundation, PADI, and Perry Institute for Marine Science! ...
